Endo Pharmaceuticals researches and sells generic medicine to help with pain, bladder cancer, prostrate cancer, and early onset puberty in children. Endo Pharmaceuticals doubled it’s profits to $147.8 million in the fourth quarter. Drug sales increased in the fourth quarter about 11 percent and its revenue in generics rose 21 percent. Tax was reduced due to the state tax reductions and additional tax benefits from Endo Pharmaceutical’s purchase of Indevus Pharmaceuticals, which all helped Endo earn $266.3 million, or $2.27 per share, on $1.46 billion in revenue in 2009.
